Mr. FORCHU Joseph....
Is a member of the Helping Hands Torch in Belo and is one of the many who testify of how good God has been to him.
“I am a traditional healer. I joined the Helping Hands Torch in 2008 when the group just started meeting. My perception of God and life has greatly changed because of my belonging to this group. My life style is no longer the same because the things I have learned from the Bible studies in my group have shaped my life. I still do traditional medicine but this time in a different way. Many people find it hard to believe that I am a Christian traditional practitioner. If there is one thing that testifies of my internal transformation from the outside, it is my new ability to give. I have greatly improved in giving and I see how God is blessing me in return. I thank God for improving my spiritual life.”
God has reached out to some Torchbearers and ministered change in their lives in very special ways.
They could not hide their excitement in telling of the good news when the TBF national office staff visited during the 3 week of our "Operation Go" in 2012,
to the People Tour that took place in January.

“My name is Sakah Angelica.....
But I am popularly known as Yaa 50. I am the Match of the Dynamic Farmers’ Torch in Meluf. Our group is three months old and we have begun reaping some benefits of our being together as a Torch. We all come from a Church where Bible studies are not commonly practiced. This has made us Christians to know very little of the Bible.
“When we joined Torchbearer Foundation and started our Torch we became exposed to the Bible because Bible study is part of our meeting activities. Members are now able to research and read chapters and verses of the Bible with ease.
“In our meetings, we sing and praise God and many people in my Church think that I have started a new kind of Church. I have told them that we are not a Church but a group of farmers and we have chosen to allow God to use us to develop our community. No one believes me in our Church. I have even been deposed from leadership positions in my Church because of my involvement in our Torch. But I do not regret being a Torchbearer. I will continue to do that which I believe is correct for my community.

Mrs. CHEFON Mariana...
Is the Match of the Tadui Poverty Alleviation Torch in Kumbo. She approached the TBF national office staff and testified as to what God has done in the lives of members of her Torch.
“I am thankful to God for the unity He has brought amongst members of our group. We come from different denominational backgrounds and we have different beliefs and doctrines that we defend and protect. Before becoming Torchbearers, our differences used to push us to reject and hate each other. Each person saw the other as belonging to the enemy camp. When I heard about Torchbearer Foundation in July 2011 and what they were doing, I decided to mobilize my neighbors around the felt need of a corn grinder in our community of Tadui.
Some of us are Catholic Christians, others are Baptists and others are Presbyterians. In the beginning of our meetings it was a bit challenging for us to pray together. In spite of this, one thing kept us motivated to continue meeting-that was the corn grinder that we badly needed in our community. So, the common problem of the lack of a grinder was the factor of unity that has kept us united till today.
“Apart the unity that exists amongst us, there has been spiritual improvement too. Some people in our group who did not go to church are now exposed to the Bible. I can testify of two members in our group whose spiritual lives have really improved since they joined our Torch. One of them is our Assistant Match - Mrs. Tamfu Mary. She has grown in her prayer life and just like the other members of our Torch she hardly fails to attend meetings. Even when she is out of town, when it is our meeting time, she calls us on the phone and assures us that she is with us in prayers. Her ways these past months have been an encouragement to many in the group and particularly to me.”
